Contains primary skill bullet points and emphasis on the last 5 years of 3G/UMTS work experience.

I was employed at British Telecommunications from 1983 to 1995 with the last 6 years of that time at BT Cellnet. I started with the analogue network and then migrated to the GSM digital network in 1992 to perform installation, commissioning and maintenance duties. In 1994 I took on a central office role at the Network Management Centre to monitor and support the Motorola and Nokia equipment being used. I left to take contract work in 1995 looking to combine a love of travel with my cellular engineering skills. I have continued to learn new skills, in 2002 moving onto GPRS with Cellnet (O2) and then onto UMTS in 2003 with Siemens on their commercial Hong Kong Project on which I was the Team Leader. Early 2004 I was working in Spain as TAC2 RC and UTRAN support for Siemens and Telefonica. At the end of 2004 I was in Luxembourg supporting the operational handover from Siemens to VOX Mobile.

In 2005 I completed my Luxembourg contract and began a role in a TAC2 UTRAN position for Siemens in Germany supporting the T-Mobile and Vodafone projects. In October 2005 I was one of a small team of TAC2 engineers performing the UTRAN upgrade from 30_08 to 35_10 on the SFR project in France. From January 2006 until May 2007 I was working in Vienna bringing TAC2 UTRAN operational experience to a CIC support group. From October 2007 to August 2008 I was part of the Nokia Siemens Networks TAC2 UTRAN support group in Spain involved in the Siemens/Nokia equipment swap. From September 2008 to April 2009 I provided NEC and NSN equipment support for the T-Mobile/Three UK RAN sharing project under Ericsson project management. From May 2009 to October 2010 I was a Back Office 2nd line UTRAN technical support engineer for both NEC and NSN RNC's for T-Mobile, Hutchison and NETCO providers.

From January 2011 to the present I've been employed by Ericsson UK 3rd line to support NSN equipment used by three customers in the UK. I'm also part of a proactive initiative called the RAN Analysis team.
